Story-time Scholar Sweater by Lisa Chemery. With Berroco Vintage Chunky in color 6105. 3 hours in and about to start bottom ribbing. Super quick knit! Took about 8 hours.  For Tristan knit the 3-6 month size.  Used US size 10 - 6.0mm needles.

Started a cowl with some of the Perriwinkle Sheep yarn I got at Stitches. Want it to be 55" on size 10.75 US - 7.0mm needles. Using Aran weight. Loosely based on Donna Edgar's Easy Lace Cowl

Front Range Bags: Nanny Knitter on Rav.She's offering a generous coupon for 20% off: KS2014 good now through December 31st.

What else is new...
Knitting Elizabeth Green Musselman's Langstroth sweater for Ro.  Thank you for the pattern Elizabeth.  I'm using Cascade 220 Heathers in color 2453 Pumpkin Spice.  Elizabeth has a great podcast Dark Matter Knits.  This is my third sweater with 220 Heathers.  Pattern calls for US 5/7 needles.  My 7s are all tied up so I'm using US size 5 - 3.75mm and US size 6 - 4.0mm needles.  I'm knitting the 28" chest size thinking it'll be roomy this winter and still fit next winter.  Really like that there isn't anything up against his neck.  Pattern is fun so far.  Bottom up construction means I have to pay minimal attention and am able to knit around the boys or when I'm brain dead tired.

Sweaters for our Kids KAL! Now through 11/30.
Prize will be this great bag from Silver Shed USA! and The New pattern from Jennifer Lassonde, Aila Grace Shawl.  Hint KAL to follow....

September Socks: will be for Randi, Tristan's teacher are finished as well.  Knit with Opal Love Story in color 7910 Romantik. Using US size 0 - 2.25mm needles. Following my favorite toe up sock, heel construction. That's Wendy Johnson's Slip Stitch Heel Basic Sock. I do a 2x2 rib on top of that. I've litterarly knit hundreds of socks this.  Used just over 300 yards.

Finished one pair, cast on another.  Signature needles and I do not get along!  These are Neon socks for Dad.  Was supposed to use alternate construction for his next pair but completely forgot.  Forester pattern.  Oops.  Still looking for that perfect yellow color for him.  Using US size 0 - 2.25mm needles. Wendy Johnson's Slip Stitch Heel Basic Sock

Doing a 2x2 rib.  Using Online Supersock 4-Fach Neon Color in color 1754.  Have been knitting with it for several days before I had it in natural light to see that it is Navy, Black, and Yellow.

Kim's Socks: Tristan's other teacher. With Berroco Sox in 1410 County Fair colorway. Using US size 0 - 2.25mm needles. Wendy Johnson's Slip Stitch Heel Basic Sock. I do a 2x2 rib on top of that.  About to start heel gussets.

Next up....Aila Grace Shawl by Jennifer Lassonde.  I'll be casting on in the coming month with some Into The Whirled Meridian Sock.  September 2014 Club Color On the Rocks.  Knit along in November?  Maybe after the sweater knit along.
