Episode 106: Yarn Tasting

Knitting Time:

Story-time Scholar Sweater by Lisa Chemery. With Berroco Vintage Chunky in color 6105. 3 hours in and about to start bottom ribbing. Super quick knit! Knitting for Tristan in the size 6-12 month. Using US size 10 - 6.0mm needles.

Garter Ear Flap Hats, by Purl Soho maybe I went crazy with them!

First was in Berroco Vintage color 5197 Teal Heather with a 5196 Gold accent. Was for Tristan, knit 3rd size up. Too Big, for Ro. Used 130 yards.
US size 7s - 4.5mm needles and US size 8s - 5.0mm needles.

Next was in Berroco Vintage color 5187 Denim with a Pumpkin accent. Knit the second size which he currently has a wears. Forgot to switch needle size though, staying with it. US size 8s - 5.0mm needles.

September Socks: will be for Randi, Tristan's teacher. With Opal Love Story in color 7910 Romantik. Using US size 0 - 2.25mm needles. Following my favorite toe up sock, heel construction. That's Wendy Johnson's Slip Stitch Heel Basic Sock. I do a 2x2 rib on top of that. I've litterarly knit hundreds of socks this

Starting a cowl with some of the Perriwinkle Sheep yarn I got at Stitches.  Want it to be 55" on size 10.75 US - 7.0mm needles.  Using Aran weight.  Loosely based on Donna Edgar's Easy Lace Cowl

Watched Witches of East End, A Young Doctor's Notebook, Football.
