Part of the Southern Girl Knits Sweater KAL. Dropped down to a US size 6 - 4.5mm needle. Gauge seems to be all over the place. 6" of the body completed. 7.5" of the first sleeve done. Suspicious the whole thing will be too small.

Frogged my Caution Mitts!

Tristan's BRQ! By Shelley Mackie & Larissa Brown Using US size 2s - 2.75mm needles.  Using Opal Rainforest, Fibernymph Bounce, White Birch Fiber Arts 80/20 merino/nylon and Into the Whirled Manchester.  8 completed 2 in progress.

Love knitting the Barn Raising Quilt Squares. Sadly the original project is knit with my leftovers from socks I’ve knit. Self-Striping only. I quickly burned through the scraps I had in my stash and now am limited to knitting squares at the same speed I knit socks…1 per month.
I can’t accept that so thought I’d start a second BRQ for my youngest son, and when his is done, maybe one for my oldest son. Small child sized blankets. (maybe later I’ll knit one for me, and one for steve and sew them all together when the boys are men?)
Headed to the Rav stash of fingering weight and blue far out numbers the other colors. Perfect, Tristan will have a nice teal/blue colored blanket.
Plan to use 3 colors, 2 skeins each for 10 squares each.
Approximately 30 squares.
A 30 square blanket that is 5x6 squares 35”x42” or
A 28 square blanket that is 4x7 squares 28”x49” or
Colors: 1 Self striping, 1 solid, 1 varigated.
The Self-Striping is the most coveted skein of Opal I own. Rainforest in Merlin, bought July 2010. Who better to use it for then my Baby?!

Twenty Ten Cardigan: by Veera Valimaki using Valley Yarns Northampton Bulky in the Fawn Colorway.  US size 8s - 5.0mm needles.  You're seeing it from the very start!
